Hopefully this article explains what Yoto Messenger is and how it works!
What does the Yoto Messenger project allow me to do? #
Once set up and running, Yoto Messenger will allow family members to send WhatsApp voice notes to a special number which will automatically upload these audio messages to a Yoto Messenger playlist which can be played by your children.
In addition to this your children can select an emoji from the playlist's tracks that will be sent to your family members via WhatsApp.
Who can send WhatsApp voice notes? #
First you, the account owner, will securely log into the app with your Yoto credentials. You will enter your name, your phone number and pick a pixel art that your child will see when playing your voice notes. You will then receive a WhatsApp message from Yoto Messenger which you can reply to with voice notes.
With that done, you can add other family members by adding their name, phone number and pixel art. They will then receive a WhatsApp message and can start sending voice notes.
How does my child send Emojis back? #
Yoto Messenger automatically creates a new playlist where all your voice notes are be uploaded to. These are all put under a single Chapter and will automatically be played through when selected on the player. The chapters after this are all emojis and can be played individually. When played on the device they will send that emoji to all members in your account. You will hear a 'whoosh' sound when the emoji has been successfully sent.
How do I get it running? #
